KATHMANDU, May 19: Nepali insurance companies are yet to settle claims worth Rs 35.36 billion insured individuals.

The records with the Nepal Insurance Authority (NIA) shows a total of 157,559 insured are yet to receive their insurance claim amounts as of mid-April. Of the figure, 52,687 claims belonged to life insurance while remaining 104,872 were related to non-life insurance.
