DSP Dangi said that Chauhan killed 14-year-old Shilabati Chamar, who was picking leafy vegetables in the field of Ram Kumar Bahun in Duduwa Rural Municipality-1 on October 31.

According to him, the accused Chauhan has confessed to the police that he killed Chamar while she was picking vegetables in the field. The police said that this matter has also come to light in the autopsy report.

Chauhan had spread the illusion that the body was found while plowing the field to destroy evidence. During the investigation, the police found the accused Chauhan running from the spot about one and a half kilometers away.

The police, who extended the investigation against the perpetrator on November 2, as the death of the minor was suspicious, Banke Police Chief and Superintendent of Police Subash Bohora reached the scene with a team of SOCO officers and trained dogs.

The Police Chief Bohora said that the police themselves started the investigation process of the incident because the victim's family did not file a complaint against the accused. According to the Banke police, Chamar's body was found buried under the soil.
