Indian envoy pays courtesy call on DPM Singh

KATHMANDU, July 16: Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Naveen Srivastava, paid a courtesy call on Deputy Prime Minister and Urban Development Minister Prakash Man Singh on Tuesday.

KATHMANDU, July 16: Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Naveen Srivastava, paid a courtesy call on Deputy Prime Minister and Urban Development Minister Prakash Man Singh on Tuesday. 


During the meeting held at Minister Singh’s office, both discussed various issues of bilateral and mutual interest.

According to the ministry, Ambassador Srivastava extended best wishes for a successful tenure to the newly-appointed Minister Singh and expressed that the Indian Government is ready to further increase bilateral cooperation.


Minister Singh and Ambassador Srivastava also discussed India’s cooperation in urban development, river pollution control, and waste management, according to the Ministry  of Urban Secretary Maniram Gelal. 


A review of the ongoing developmental projects in Nepal was held with the support of the Indian Government. Secretary Gelal stated that the discussions were held regarding the integrated customs checkpoints being constructed along the Nepal-India border.
