Indian docs examine Shashanka

KATHMANDU, July 9: A medical team of Indian doctors has arrived in Kathmandu for additional examination of Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Shashanka Koirala who is undergoing treatment at OM Hospital.

KATHMANDU, July 9: A medical team of Indian doctors has arrived in Kathmandu for additional examination of Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Shashanka Koirala who is undergoing treatment at OM Hospital.


According to the hospital, a four-member team from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) performed additional examinations of the NC leader after arriving on Saturday.

After examining the leader, Indian medical team concluded that the treatment method adopted by the Nepali doctors was appropriate, informed Dr. Hari Kishor Shrestha at the hospital.


There is continuous improvement in Koirala’s condition, said his Personal Secretary, Bharat Tiwari, adding that the leader has now started eating and can talk. Koirala was admitted at the hospital on Wednesday after sudden illness.
