KATHMANDU: Skipper Sunil Chhetri scored in fading moments for the defending champion India as it toiled hard to earn 1-1 draw against Bangladesh on Tuesday during their second match of group B at the APF grounds, Halchowk.

Chhetri forced back the equalizer through freekick with only 20 seconds remaining for the final whistle. Chhetri had earned the freekick after he was fouled by Md Mamun Islam at the edge of the area. [break]

With his maiden goal of the tournament, Chhetri also ended his goal drought in Nepal after six matches in all competitions.

Bangladesh had earlier taken the lead in 82nd minute through Allqur Rahaman Meshu after Indian custodian Subrata Paul failed to clear corner taken by Md Mamunul Islam Mamun.

Though Bangladesh dominated the first half of the match, it failed to come up with remarkable attempts on post.
