India to support for pro-people projects: Indian envoy

BIRATNAGAR, Sept 14: Indian Ambassador to Nepal Jayant Prasad laid a foundation stone for the construction of a school building amidst a function in Biratnagar of Morang district on Wednesday.



India will provide the financial aid for the construction of the science building of local Adharsha Higher Secondary School at Biratnagar-9.[break]



During the function, Indian envoy Jayant Prasad said the government of India has been giving the top priority to pro-people projects.



He said there there are around 400 projects into operation under micro development projects across the country, Nepal, in Indian aid saying he was glad to get the opportunity to work being close to Nepali people.



On the occasion, Lawmaker and Nepali Congress leader Dr. Shekhar Koirala promised to make the school that has long and recorded history a model one.



The building will have 21 classrooms, classrooms for the differently able people and other facilities at Rs. 31.6 million.
