India hands over new buildings under HICDP to Myagdi Campus

KATHMANDU, Jan 7: The Government of India has formally handed over the newly constructed campus and hostel buildings under High Impact Community Development Project (HICDP) at Myagdi Multiple Campus to the Campus Management Committee. The buildings, funded by India’s financial assistance of Rs 27.93 million under the Nepal-India Development Cooperation, include blocks for Humanities, Management, and a Girls' hostel.


According to a press release issued by the Indian Embassy in Nepal, the handover ceremony was attended by local officials, political representatives, and social workers including Raj Kumar Thapa of the District Coordination Committee and Avinash Kumar Singh from the Indian Embassy.

The project aims to improve access to higher education and enhance the learning environment for Myagdi’s students, especially supporting the 950-student campus, of which 70 percent are girls, the press release stated.
