KAVREPALANCHOWK, March 21: The BP Highway has been obstructed since this morning following a rise in water levels in the Roshi region of Kavrepalanchowk due to incessant rain.
After the highway was severely damaged by floods and landslides in the area last year, a temporary road was arranged along the river.

District Traffic Office Chief Sunil Dhanju reported that traffic has been disrupted at Charsayabensi, Gimdi, Baunne, and Kaladhunga in Roshi Rural Municipality since 3:30 AM.
He said the road can only be reopened after water levels drop. However, efforts are underway to restore traffic in coordination with security personnel and the Department of Roads.
Meanwhile, traffic police have been holding vehicles since early this morning due to road disruptions at various points in the Roshi area along the BP Highway.
Dhanju added that vehicles have been stopped at entry points to the highway – Dhulikhel’s Kavrebhanjyang and Bhakunde, as well as at Nepal Thok and Mangalatar.
