KATHMANDU, Sept 12: The late CPN-UML leader Subas Chandra Nembang's body now rests at the party's central office in Chyasal.
Following its transfer from the TU Teaching Hospital in Maharajganj, Nembang's body has been placed at the CPN-UML's central office in Chyasal, Lalitpur, where it will remain for the entirety of today.
Various political leaders including Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, former President Bidya Devi Bhandari, CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli, Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba and CPN (Unified Socialist) Madhav Kumar Nepal paid last tribute to late Nembang.
A state funeral with honors is scheduled for tomorrow, with the final rites postponed until the arrival of his two sons currently residing abroad. The government has declared the day of his funeral as a public holiday.
