KATHMANDU, April 12: The newly appointed Inspector General (IG) of Nepal Police, Sarbendra Khana has assumed office at the Police Headquarter, Naxal after receiving insignia on Thursday.

Prem Kumar Rai, Secretary for Ministry of Home Affairs has conferred Khanal insignia on Thursday morning. The cabinet meeting on Tuesday appointed Sarbendra Khanal as IG of Nepal Police and Shailendra Khanal as IG of Armed Police Force.
