KATHMANDU, July 4: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sarbendra Khanal has said that Nepal Police has already completed necessary preparations for the adjustment of police forces.
Speaking at the meeting of Parliamentary State Affairs Committee held on Thursday in the capital, IGP Khanal said that once concerned stakeholders settle contentious theoretical issues they will be ready for the adjustment of the police forces at any time.

During his briefing, he also said that the organization under his leadership has prepared a plan of the adjustment of the police forces taking into account the needs of the provinces.
“We are ready for the adjustment of police forces. The task of adjustment will be completed as soon as theoretical differences are overcome. We will abide by a direction given by the government with regards to adjustment of police forces. As many as 26,000 police personnel are currently working in different provinces”, said IGP Khanal.
