Speaking at the meeting of Parliamentary State Affairs Committee held to discuss the Bill on the adjustment of federal and provincial police forces, he added that provincial police need to coordinate with federal police in certain areas considering the security challenges of the country.
According to him, provinces with major cities such as Birgunj, Bhairawa and Biratnagar adjoining India will not be able to protect themselves without the support of federal police in a critical situation marked by security threats.
