KATHMANDU, Oct 2: Former King Gyanendra Shah on Sunday offered a sword at Pachali Bhairav Temple in capacity of a King.
As per the tradition, a sword is offered at the temple in every 12 years, but the sword was offered after a gap of 15 years this time.

The delay was owing to the confusion over whom to offer the sword following the abolition of the monarchy in the country.
According to Press Coordinator to the former King, Phani Raj Pathak, Gyanendra offered the sword following the requests from the local trustees.
The sword was offered at the temple in 2001 for the last time.
