IGP Shah assumes office

KATHMANDU, June 2: Newly appointed chief of Nepal Police Rabindra Pratap Shah assumed his office on Thursday.



Inspector General of Police (IGP) Shah was presented with the insignia in a program organized at the Home Ministry on Thursday morning.



His term as IGP will be for 15 months and 11 days.



Shah was appointed as a new police chief after Ramesh Chand Thakuri, who is involved in the infamous Sudan scam was transferred as a security advisor to the Prime Minister.
