KATHMANDU, Feb 24: Nepal has defeated Hong Kong by four wickets at its fourth match under the ICC Women's T20 World Cup Asia Region Qualifier being held at Terdthai Cricket Ground, Bangkok on Sunday.
Chasing the 63-run target set by Hong Kong, Nepal reached the target in 18.3 overs losing six wickets.
Apsari Begam top-scored with 24 runs including three wickets off 35 balls, Sarita Magar secured 16 runs off 30 balls while the other batsmen could not reach double digit runs.

In reply, Jasmine Titmuss claimed highest three wickets of Nepal conceding 11 runs in 3.3 overs while M Hill, YS To, KY Chan grabbed one wicket each.
Earlier, electing to bat first after winning the toss, Hong Kong made 62 runs in the allotted 20 overs, losing eight wickets.
MBA Lamplough scored highest 19 runs including one four off 24 balls, Y Daswani made 16 runs including one four off 29 balls while Bella Poon contributed 11 runs off 24 balls.
In reply, Nari Thapa claimed highest six wickets giving away eight runs in four overs, piling pressure on Hong Kong while Sita Rana Magar grabbed two wickets giving away seven runs in four overs.
Nepal will take on China on February 25 in its fifth match and against Kuwait on February 27 in the final match.
A total of seven Asian countries - Nepal, the UAE, Malaysia, China Hong Kong and Kuwait along with the organizer Thailand - are participating in the qualifier. Each team will play six games.
The team which is atop the score table after playing with each other in the qualifier will be selected for the Global Qualifier.
This qualifier would determine the raking of participating countries. Thailand is in the 12th position, UAE in the 14th and Nepal in the 16th in T-20 Ranking.
