ICC Development Event Manager Andrew Faichney and Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Development Manager Bandula Warnapura observed TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur and Pulchowk Engineering College´s Cricket Ground and expressed satisfaction. However, Warnapura advised CAN to chart out and implement plans to manage cricket viewers in TU ground.
The team will observe the cricket ground at Birendra Sainik School on Monday. Nepal will be holding the ICC tournament for the first time.

KATHMANDU, July 19: Nepal Sports Journalists Forum, Palpa honored veteran sports persons from the district on Sunday at Tansen, Palpa.
Minister for Youth and Sports Ganesh Tiwari Nepali and National Sports Council Member Secretary Jeevan Ram Shrestha honored sportsperson Ganga Prasad Shrestha, 87, former national badminton player Prakash Udaya and former footballer Suresh Ligal by handing over letters of appreciation and presenting shawls.
Journalist Bharat Sharma was awarded cash prize and certificate as Palpa´s best journalist of the year.
Banke players´ association formed
KATHMANDU, July 19: Banke District Players´ Association has been formed on Saturday, comprising players of different sports with a view to safeguard the rights of the players.
The 11-member committee is formed with Lok Bahadur Shah, former national kabaddi player, as president. Former national weightlifter Harishchandra Gupta is the vice president and Bijay Kumar Shukla, a former boxing player, is the secretary of the committee. Hitesh Bharati is the joint-secretary, Sushil Kamal is the treasurer and Birendra Singh Thater, Mahesh Gupta, Sandip Srivastav and Nandakishor Barma are members.
