The match was reduced to nine holes due to continuous rainfall. Hridesh scored one-over 37 on second day for a total of four-under 104 in 27 holes. Sangchai Kaewchareon, member of the Thai national team, who had shared joint lead with Hridesh on the first day with five-under 67, scored three-over 39 for a total of two-under 106.
Bikash Bogati scored one-under 35 for a total of even-par 108 to earn third place. Viraaj G Madappa of India scored even-par 36 and is on fourth position with the score of one-over 109. Another Indian amateur Simarjeet Singh turned in a card of three-over 39 for a total of two-over 110 to be in the fifth place.
The play was brought to standstill number of times due to heavy rainfall. Hridesh scored birdie on the third hole and dropped a shot on a par-3 fifth hole and made another bogey on the next par-3 eighth for one-over 37. Sangchai made bogey on second hole but sank a birdie on the third hole. He made double-bogey on the seventh hole par-5 and dropped another shot on eighth par-3 for three-over 39.
Tashi Dong (35), Muhmod Dil (37), Ekkarat Leksuwan(37) are tied sixth with the score of three-over 111. Tsendra Dorji (40), Arun Tamang(39) and Tashi Tshiring (37) are tied at ninth place with four-over 112.
Among 51 participants of the 54-hole tournament, 30 players have made the cut for the final round.
Owing to the downpour, the tournament committee also decided to curtail the team event to 27 holes. Thailand's Sangchai Kaewcharoen and Ekkarat Leksuwan finished with one-over 217 for victory. The Indian team of Simarjeet and Viraaj G Madappa finished runner-up with three-over 219. Nepal (A) comprising of Arun Tamang and Tashi Tshiring were second runner-up with the score of eight-over 224. Six teams -- two from Nepal and one each from India, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Thailand were in fray of the competition.
