Hridesh and Sangchai carded five-under 67 to finish day one on top. Hridesh took the turn at one-under 35 and played four-under 32 on the back nine. Sangchai played two-under 34 on the front nine before carding three-under 33 on the back nine.
India's Simarjeet Singh is on the third position with one-under 71 ahead of Bhutan's Tsendra Dorji who carded even-par 72. Three players including Nepal's Bikash Bogati, Arun Tamang and Viraaj G Madappa of India are tied fifth at one-over 73. Muhmod Dil of Bangladesh and Ekkrat Lekusan of Thailand are tied at eighth position with two-over 74. Defending Champion Dechen Ugyen of Bhutan and Wangchen Dhondup are tied 10th with three-over 75.
A total of 51 players are taking part in the 54-hole tournament. Cut will be applied after the second round with 30 players making it to the final round.
The team event saw Thailand's Sangchai Kaewcharoen and Ekkarat Leksuwan stay on top with carded three-under 141, Indian team of Simarjeet and Viraaj G Madappa are in second position with even-par 144. Bhutan's Tsendra and Dechan are third with three-over 147. Altogether six teams including two from Nepal and one each from India, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Thailand are taking part in the team event being played over 36 holes.
