The committee took the decision after the main opposition UCPN (Maoist) on Saturday decided to let the House pass the budget. The Maoist party has announced to let the parliament function only for three days.
Earlier on Sunday, the meetings of the Maoist´s Parliamentary Party and the party´s Parliamentary Board, which is headed by Maoists´ deputy leader in the parliament Narayankaji Shrestha, decided to let the House function for three days from Monday.
According to the parliament secretariat, the appropriation bill that authorizes the government to spend money will be passed on Tuesday after ministers reply on queries related to their respective ministries. As per the schedule, deliberations on budget headings for 16 ministries will take place on Monday. Discussions on the headings related to other eight ministries had taken place earlier when Maoists let the House run.
Likewise, the parliament is scheduled to pass the financial bill, which authorizes the government to collect tax, the bill on national debt recovery and the bill on debt and collaterals on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the ruling CPN-UML and the Nepali Congress (NC) have issued whips to their lawmakers to be compulsorily present during the three days to help pass the budget.
The Maoist party, which is continuously obstructing the parliament ever since then prime minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal stepped down as prime minister, had allowed the parliament to run only for a few days in July just to present the budget and pass the vote-on-account bill.
