KATHMANDU, April 9: The meeting of the House of Representatives is sitting today. The meeting is set to be held at Parliament House, New Baneshwar at 11AM.

As per the parliament secretariat, Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane is expected to propose the consideration of the 'Political Party (Second Amendment) Bill, 2080 BS'.

Likewise, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal is slated to present the "Fifth Annual Report of the National Natural Resources and Fiscal Commission, 2080 BS" during today's session.

Additionally, Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation Minister Shakti Bahadur Basnet will introduce a proposal regarding the discussion of the provisions of the agreement related to the establishment of the International Solar Alliance.

Moreover, Industry, Commerce, and Supply Minister Damodar Bhandari will propose the consideration of the 'E-Commerce Bill, 2080 BS', which originated in the National Assembly.

However, the main opposition party, Nepali Congress (NC) has issued a warning, threatening to obstruct today's proceedings. The NC asserts that a parliamentary inquiry committee is necessary, alleging the involvement of the Home Minister in misappropriation of cooperative savings. They have declared that the Home Minister will not be permitted to address today's session.

The NC has already warned that the party will not allow the parliament to proceed until the government fulfills its demands saying that the formation of the parliamentary panel is the bottom line of the party.
