Home ministry writes to probe committee saying CCTV footage of Singha Durbar gate gets deleted automatically after 16 days

KATHMANDU, July 26: The Ministry of Home Affairs has sent a letter to the parliamentary inquiry committee saying that the CCTV footage of the Singha Durbar gate gets deleted automatically after 16 days.


The letter was written by the home ministry after the committee obtained the CCTV footage of the south and west gates of Singha Durbar.

While gathering more evidence, the investigation committee meeting decided to call the CCTV footage of South and West Gate to see those who had come to Singha Durbar on the night of 28th May.


The report sent by the committee to the forensic lab of the police with the recovered video footage of the hard disk of the CCTV of the Ministry of Finance arrived on Monday.


Although the CCTV footage of May 28 has been recovered, it is said that the person who entered the ministry is not clear. Regarding the CCTV footage, the committee is discussing with the experts from the forensic lab today at 4 pm.
