Home ministry reshuffles SSPs

KATHMANDU, Jan 17: The home ministry has carried out a long overdue reshuffle of senior superintendents of police (SSPs) of all 14 zonal police offices and other police offices having the post of SSP.



As per the new reshuffle, Ramesh Kharel, who was at the UN section of the police headquarters, has been given the charge of Bagmati zonal police office. [break]



Likewise, Keshab Raj Ghimire has been transferred to Mechi; Yadav, Koshi; Bhog Bahadur Thapa, Sagarmatha; Shiva Lamichhane, Janakpur and Sarbendra Khanal, Narayani.



Kedar Man Singh Bhandari is given charge of Gandaki; Milan Basnet, Dhaulagiri; Mingmar Lama, Lumbini, Ganesh Bahadur Gurung, Karnali; Uttam Bahadur Singh, Rapti; Madhu Pudasaini, Bheri; Laba Bista, Seti and Chhabilal Joshi, Mahakali.



Lal Kayastha has replaced Debendra Subedi as chief of Metropolitan Crime Division, Hanumandhoka. Subedi has been transferred to the UN section of the police headquarters. Rana Bahadur Chand has, however, continued remaining chief of the Metropolitan Police Range.
