Home ministry transfers 26 SSPs of Nepal Police

KATHMANDU, Jan 7: A meeting of the Ministry of Home Affairs (ministerial level) of the Government of Nepal on Thursday evening transferred 26 Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) of Nepal Police.

KATHMANDU, Jan 7: A meeting of the Ministry of Home Affairs (ministerial level) of the Government of Nepal on Thursday evening transferred 26 Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) of Nepal Police.


Similarly, with the transfer of the SSPs, the chief of the Metropolitan Traffic Police Division and the Metropolitan Police Crime Division have been changed as well. Umesh Raj Joshi of the Traffic Police Division and Basanta Bahadur Kunwar, Spokesperson for the Crime Division, have been transferred.

Earlier, Janak Bhattarai, who was working at the traffic division, was transferred to the Nepal Police Province Office, Rupandehi and Chandra Kuber Khapung, who was working in the Crime Division, was transferred to the Crime Investigation Department Naxal, according to the Department of Human Resources and Administration, Nepal Police Headquarters.


Likewise, Bhim Prasad Dhakal of the Women and Senior Citizens Service Division of the Nepal Police Headquarters has been transferred to the Metropolitan Police International Airport Security Office. Rajesh Nath Bastola, who was working at the airport security office, has been transferred to the Highway Safety and Traffic Management Division at the Police Headquarters. Similarly, SSPs working in provincial offices and training centers have also been transferred, according to the police headquarters.
