Home minister Thapa vows action against assailants

KATHMANDU, Feb 23: Home Minister Ram Bahadur has visited Medi CitiHospital in Lalitpur to take the stock of those injured in Friday’s bomb explosion at Nakhu.

KATHMANDU, Feb 23: Home Minister Ram Bahadur visited Nepal Mediciti Hospital in Lalitpur to take the stock of those injured in a recent bomb explosion at Nakhu.



During the visit, Home Minister Thapa said that the government would bear expenses for the treatment of those injured. On the occasion, Thapa vowed to take action against the perpetrators involved in Friday's bomb explosion.

Inspector General of Nepal Police Sarbendra Khanal, Mayor of Metropolitan City Lalitpur Chiri Babu Maharjan, Parliamentarian Pampha Bhusal and NCP leader Dev Gurung also visited the hospital. Three persons were injured in the bomb explosion.


However, Singha Prasad Gurung, who was seriously injured in the incident, breathed his last during treatment at Mediciti Hospital last night and while two others were injured when an unidentified group detonated a bomb with the intention of blowing off the Ncell mobile tower at Nakhu. The injured Pratiksha Khadka and Urusha Manandhar have been undergoing treatment in the hospital.
