HLPC condemns police excesses in Kamalri agitation

KATHMANDU, June 7: The meeting of the High Level Political Committee held at New Baneshwor in the capital today, condemned police excesses in Kamlari agitation.



The former Kamlaris have been calling banda in 22 districts of the Terai region against the police excesses in the capital, a few days ago.[break]



The HLPC meeting also demanded action against the police officer and urged the government to address their demands, CPN-UML leader Raghuji Panta told journalists.



Meanwhile, Senior leader of the CPN-UML and former Prime Minister, Madhav Kumar Nepal, said to journalists that the HLPC would held talks throughout the day, today, regarding the laws for the election process and other disputed issues and that they would reach to any conclusion by the end of the day.
