NUWAKOT, Oct 11: The consumers in Nuwakot and neighboring districts are compelled to buy the Himalayan goats (Chyangra) in high price due to short supply from Tibet this year.

Likewise, the price of he-goats reared in the villages has also gone up compared to the previous years. The price of per kilo live-goat is traded at Rs 400 against Rs 300 of the last year. [break]

The consumers are collecting the he-goats in the villages as the number Himalayan goats remained insufficient to meet their demand in the district.

The Himalayan goats are imported to Nepal from Tibet through Rasuwagadi checkpoint and are supplied to capital via Nuwakot district.
