KATHMANDU, July 15: Police have arrested a high-ranking officer of the Armed Police Force (APF) on the charge of rape.
Following a complaint by the alleged victim, a team of police personnel from Kaski District Police arrested Senior Superintendent of APF Rajendra Adhikari from the APF Training Academy in Pokhara.

Police said SSP Adhikari is the in-charge of APF Training Academy in Pokhara. "We arrested the alleged rapist after receiving a complaint against him today [Wednesday] morning. The arrested person is in police custody for further investigation. We have also sent the alleged victim to hospital for medical examination," Chief of Kaski District Police SP Jeevan Shrestha.
Police have already started investigating the case, he said.
