Ever since the first ‘Conjuring’ film released in 2013, the films have been appreciated by critics and audiences alike. And now, with the third part on the way, fans have been treated to its official title. The film will be called ‘The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It’ and unveiling of the title has already generated a lot of excitement among fans. It will have paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren (played by Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga respectively) reprise their roles in the supernatural horror. The official synopsis of the upcoming film reads as, “The film reveals a chilling story of terror, murder and unknown evil that shocked even experienced real-life paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. One of the most sensational cases from their files, it starts with a fight for the soul of a young boy, then takes them beyond anything they’d ever seen before, to mark the first time in U.S. history that a murder suspect would claim demonic possession as a defence.”]
‘The Conjuring’ TV Series in Development at HBO Max
The film is set to release in September next year. The characters of Ed and Lorraine are based on the real life couple with the same names, who investigated over 10,000 cases of paranormal activities. They established the New England Society for Psychic Research almost 70 years ago.
Their famous case, the Enfield poltergeist, was the subject for ‘The Conjuring 2’ while the first ‘Conjuring’ was based on the possessed doll Annabelle, which now has its own film series.
