We often talk about "Freedom" and "Gender Equality" and I wonder if we really understand the magnanimity a reason to engage in meaningless conversations.
Being the person I'm, I generally find myself discussing religion with friends who until sometime back I thought were "LIKE MINDED" and when we come across the issue of a woman's position in performing certain "religoius practice" I find myself almost always asking one fundemental question "why are women barred form doing certain things during certain periods of time" when we actaully celebrate them as fundemental part of "religious beliefs" Though most law books are brazenly male centric, they do suggest that women are to be treated respectfully and shun away any kind of harassment inflicted on women and further suggest that homes in which women are mistreated are homes in which there in no peace and happiness...so I tell them each time you visit a temple namely a "Devi" temple know in your hearts that it is the female energy you take shelter in and make sure you practice it in your lives with all the women around you...if you are looking for completeness.
