Actors/directors Asif Shah and Nischal Basnet contributed an amount of Rs 50,000 each and eSewa contributed Rs 200,000, along with Rs 151,000 from the collective one-day salary of eSewa employees, as per the press statement.

The press statement quoted Nischal as saying, “It would be most appropriate if we could go to the flood-stricken areas and help. But even if we cannot be physically present, we can help the victims from our own homes using eSewa or subsequent app Fonepay.”

The press statement also quoted Asif as saying, “We will not take a single rupee from the collected amount even for administrative expenditure. For transparency, you can visit the donation section in the eSewa website”.
