Hello Sarkar resolves 654 complaints

KATHMANDU, April 25: Of the 806 complaints received at Hello Sarkar, the unit established at the Office of the Prime Minister to hear and address daily complaints of the people at large, 654 complaints were dealt with.



The complaints were received in the month of Chaitra, according to Secretary at the Office Krishna Hari Banskota.[break]



The complaints related to dillydallying by staff at the Lalitpur Survey Office, irregularity in foreign employment, concession for students in public transport, regularizing exams, more than scheduled power outage, exploitation of traders along the highway among others.



Likewise, market monitoring, efforts to set up a herbs processing plant, ensuring easy supply of daily consumables and a tenant guidelines were carried out in response to the complaints received at the office.



A total of 17,734 complaints were received from November 3, 2011 to November 15, 2012 and of them 9,655 have been successfully addressed, according to Banskota.



Majority of the complaints were concerning the Home, Education, Local Development, Urban Development, Finance and Transport Ministries.
