Heavy rainfall recorded in Makwanpur, authorities urge caution

The DHM has warned of possible flash floods in streams including the Samri River and other small rivulets in the area, urging locals to remain cautious.

KATHMANDU, Aug 22: Heavy rainfall has been recorded in Makwanpur district. According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM), measurements taken at 3:15 PM on Friday showed 78.6 millimeters of rainfall within the past hour in Makwanpur Gadhi and surrounding areas.



The DHM has warned of possible flash floods in streams including the Samri River and other small rivulets in the area, urging locals to remain cautious.

Currently, rainfall has also been reported in several other districts, including Kathmandu, Nuwakot, Nawalparasi, Jumla and Sindhupalchok.
