KATHMANDU, Jan 22: Districts across Terai and Madhesh have experienced heavy fog since this morning. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, there is currently a partial influence of westerly winds in Nepal.

According to the meteorological information released by the MFD earlier at 6 in the morning, the weather is mainly clear in the hilly areas of the country while the rest of the country is partly cloudy. Additionally, widespread fog has been reported in many parts of Nepal’s southern plains.

According to the MFD, the weather will be partly cloudy to mostly clear in the hilly areas of the country, including Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces, in the rest of the country. There is a possibility of light snowfall at one or two places in the high hills and mountainous areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.
