KATHMANDU, September 24: The scheduled hearing on the rape case against cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane by the Kathmandu District Court has been deferred yet again until further notice.
The case was put off citing an insufficient number of available judges to hear the case on Sunday.
The Judicial Council recently made a massive reshuffle of judges involving the transfer and promotion of judges, impacting the availability of judges to preside over this case.
Sources said the designated judges were unable to preside over the case due to their unavailability as a result of the recent transfers.
A definite date for the continuation of the hearing and resolution of the case remains uncertain now.
