Health Transformed by Art in exhibition

The exhibition ‘Health Transformed by Art’ (HTA), has been put on display from last Sunday at Siddhartha Art Gallery, Baber Mahal Revisited. HTA is a community art project initiated by Siddhartha Art Gallery that aims to bring out the untapped therapeutic value of visual art in a hospital setting and provide psychological relief to patients, parents, hospital staff, and the general public.

The exhibition ‘Health Transformed by Art’ (HTA), has been put on display from last Sunday at Siddhartha Art Gallery, Baber Mahal Revisited. HTA is a community art project initiated by Siddhartha Art Gallery that aims to bring out the untapped therapeutic value of visual art in a hospital setting and provide psychological relief to patients, parents, hospital staff, and the general public.


The project was implemented in Kanti Children's Hospital that included Art Based Therapy workshops with young artists and child cancer patients, mural paintings and installation artworks made out of hospital waste. The artists who worked in the project are Kiran Maharjan, Shraddha Shrestha, Mekh Limbu, Ang Tsering Sherpa, Anoj Subedi and Raju Giri along with MCube, Kathmandu University Centre for Art and Design and Sirjana College of Fine Arts in the project.
