KAILALI, March 10: The Social Development Ministry of the Sudurpaschim province government has set up a health desk at Chisapani, Karnali in its eastern checkpoint with the rise in the risks of coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
In coordination with Lamkichuha municipality, the health desk has been brought into operation since Monday for health screening of passengers and tourists entered the province, shared Ministry's Public Information Officer Hemraj Khadka.
He further shared additional human resource would be mobilized as per the need since two health workers have been already assigned at the health desk.
Likewise, the health division team under the ministry also monitored the health help desks, established at Tikapur hospital and Khakraula checkpoint. The hospital has separate 15 isolation wards.
A meeting presided over by Sudurpaschim province chief minister Trilochan Bhatta on Sunday took different 11 decisions regarding identification, treatment, prevention and management of possible coronavirus epidemic in the state.
