Highlighting the rich traditional Nepali setting the calendar features glamorous models dressed in haute fashion. Representing four seasons of the year, four models were handpicked and shot in various locations around Kathmandu.[break]
Sporting the creations of fashion designer Tenzin Tseten Bhutia, models Sijan Bhattachan, Rashmita Maharjan, Jasmi Gurung and Ayesha Shakya were photographed by Usha Pun.
Unveiling the calendar, model cum choreographer Prashant Tamrakar, the Chief Guest at the event expressed, “Such initiatives are very important for a fledgling fashion industry like ours.”
Hosted by model Noyo Singh, the event was graced by Anil Shah, CEO of Mega Bank, Singer Ciney Gurung, Raveena Joshi, Chief Corporate Affairs of Mega Bank and Pankaj Jalan, Principal Lord Buddha Education Foundation.

Hair and makeup artiste, and one of the team members of Fashionkraft, Sakil Kuwar believes Nepal has tremendous potential in terms of fashion. Applauding the efforts of Sijan Bhattachan in making the calendar an actuality, Kuwar added, “The little things really make a big difference, and we believe such steps will pave way for better things in future.”
“Our main agenda is to provide a boost to the Nepali fashion industry and to give it an international exposure,” shared Hrishant Bipashwa Rai, model coordinator of Fashionkraft.
Designed by Asim Chitrakar the limited edition calendar will be distributed in the country as well as abroad like England, USA, Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong.
