At a press conference organized by the Federation on Wednesday, its Coordinator Chakra BK demanded the Nepal government make necessary arrangement of land to Haliyas for their identity and livelihood and immediately provide them with identity card for the purpose. [beak]
Stressing on the need that the rehabilitation of entire Haliyas should be put forward by implementing the five-point deal struck between the Federation and the government on Bhadra 20, 2065 BS (September, 2008).
Likewise, the Federation also urged to form a high-level commission comprising the representatives of political parties and freed Haliyas to resolve the problems and warned the government to launch agitation if their demands were not heeded.
