KATHMANDU, July 27: Former minister and Coordinator of Terai-Madhes National Campaign, Jaya Prakash Gupta clarified that he would not be choosing the path of armed violence, on Saturday.

Issuing a press note today, Gupta said, "I haven’t gone underground and not felt anything that police has been keeping close eye on my activities as media reported."

His calcification came at a time when media reported that government is keeping close eye on Gupta as he is joining hands with Terai-based armed underground outfits and intending to choose path of violence.

In the short note circulated to the media persons, leader Gupta has also accused the Madhesi leaders of deceiving the general mashesi people and acting against their will.
