Govt to revise National Cooperatives Policy

KATHMANDU, June 2: The government has planned to revise the National Cooperative Policy.


The policy will be revised in line with Cooperative Act 2074 and its regulation, according to officials familiar to the development.

The National Cooperative Development Board has started holding consultations with concerned stakeholders to revise the National Co-operative Policy 2069.


As part of its consultations, the board organized a program in Biratnagar of Province 1 on Saturday to collect feedback from the stakeholders.


Addressing the event, Minister for Poverty Alleviation Padhma Kumari Aryal said that the government is mulling on revising the laws related to cooperatives.
