KATHMANDU, May 25: The government has published a notice in the Nepal Gazette, prohibiting strikes in 25 essential services. A Cabinet meeting held on May 24 took this decision.
Announcing the decision of the Cabinet meeting, government spokesperson and Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Gyanendra Bahadur Karki said that the meeting approved the Deputy Attorney General Dr Tek Bahadur Ghimire’s visit to the United States of America to participate in the cyber security leadership program and training to be held there.

Similarly, the government has decided to approve the proposed foreign trip of the Chief Secretary of the Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers of Madhesh Province, Krishna Bahadur Raut who is going to Hawaii to participate in the Comprehensive Security Course to be held from June 1 to 3.
Government Spokesperson Karki also said that it has been decided to approve the delegation led by the Minister of Agriculture and Livestock Development to participate in the High Level Nepal Study Mission to India on the Right to Food and Food Sovereignty Act program to be held in India from June one to eight among other decisions.
Spokesperson Karki also said that the government has decided to promote and appoint Nepal Agriculture Service, Fisheries Group, Gazetted First Class posts as per the recommendation of the Public Service Commission.
The government has transferred Gazetted Special Category Secretaries of Civil Service Rabindranath Shrestha, Suresh Acharya, Maniram Gelal, Sushil Chandra Tiwari and Gopal Prasad Sigdel respectively to the Chief Officer National Vigilance Center, Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Ministry of Drinking Water, Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation and Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport.
