Speaking at a press conference organized Sunday, Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation, Lokendra Bistamagar said the probe commission with Joint-Attorney General Thok Prasad Siwakoti has been entrusted to look into the latest reports of irregularities including the missing fly way kit, landing gear and wheels, the rat scam, appointment of Indian citizens among others.[break]
Senior Superintendent of Police, Kamal Singh Bam, Kumar Khatiwada of Mountain Air and Joint Secretary at the Tourism Ministry, Hari Khadka are other members of the probe committee.
The Tourism Minister also promised to take severest possible action against those found guilt by the Committee in the aforementioned incidents, causing loss worth millions of rupees to the NAC.
Meanwhile, the 224th meeting of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) here today decided to study the report of the Sub-committee constituted to investigate into the runway over and helipad construction at the Tribhuvan International Airport, and take necessary action accordingly.
Also Sunday, a decision was taken to give the Transit and Godown Management Company the responsibility of operating the air cargo godown of the airport for the next twelve months.
