Executive Director of the Committee Bhesh Narayan Dahal wrote a letter to this effect. Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Prem Bahadur Ale had directed the Committee to immediately halt the construction works arguing that the entire process to allow the B Management Limited to operate the restaurant was not transparent.

In the letter, Executive Director Dahal stated that the construction had to be stopped as this courted serious controversy following various kinds of reports in the media. He has directed the company to stop the construction works until further notice. Illegal construction works are currently underway in the western wing of the former Royal Palace. The Company is adding additional concrete structures illegally demolishing the original structures of the former Royal Palace.
