Govt decides to upgrade 10 hospitals in Bagmati Province

KATHMANDU: The Bagmati Province government has announced its decision to upgrade 10 hospitals within its jurisdiction. The decision was taken during a provincial Cabinet meeting held on Tuesday.

KATHMANDU: The Bagmati Province government has announced its decision to upgrade 10 hospitals within its jurisdiction. The decision was taken during a provincial Cabinet meeting held on Tuesday.


As per the decision, Hetauda Hospital and Bhaktapur Hospital are slated to be upgraded to accommodate 300 beds each, which is a significant increase from their previous capacity of 100 beds each.

Similarly, Dhading Hospital, Trishuli Hospital in Nuwakot, Sindhuli Hospital, and Bakhulahar Ratnanagar  Hospital in Chitwan will undergo upgrades to reach a capacity of 100 beds.


Furthermore, Sindhupalchowk Hospital, Ramechhap Hospital, Pashupati Chaulagain Memorial Hospital in Dolakha, and Methenkot Hospital in Kavre are set to be upgraded to 50 beds each.


This move by the government aims to enhance the healthcare infrastructure and capacity of these hospitals, ensuring better medical services for the residents of Bagmati Province.
