He, however, said that the Prime Minister's has main role in reshuffling the government, and it would be done whenever he wants it. The unification of the CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Centre) was a great achievement and it has been important for the country's prosperity, added Chair Dahal.

A long consultation had taken place with the Prime Minister on the issue of concluding the remaining work of the unification, he said, adding that allocation of party central members and remaining tasks in this regard would be completed after the party secretariat meeting scheduled for June 22. On Netra Bikram Chand-led Communist Party of Nepal carrying out criminal activities, NCP Chair Dahal said there had not been substantial progress achieved by the team formed to hold talks with the group.

He added that the course the group has taken would not benefit the country and the people. Likewise on the Guthi Bill, referring to the government having withdrawn the bill amidst a widespread protest, Chair Dahal said that the government was responsible for the people, and it would act for their welfare and on their wishes. In another context, he stressed the need for amending and making changes in the Media Council Bill through a parliamentary process.

Saying problems have triggered due to lack of homework within the government and NCP regarding the bill, the NCP Chair said that future course of action would be taken in coming days in this regard only after holding discussion with stakeholders. He termed the budget brought for coming fiscal year 2019/20 as encouraging and balanced.
