KATHMANDU, Aug 14: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has reshuffled the Council of Ministers 12 times within a period of seven months.


PM Dahal, the leader of the CPN (Maoist Center) Parliamentary Party, assumed office as the Prime Minister on December 26, 2022. Prime Minister Dahal also changed the alliance during this period.


After forming a government with the support of parties including CPN-UML, RSP and RPP, Dahal left that alliance during the presidential election in February and returned to the election-time alliance with the Nepali Congress.

Prime Minister Dahal restructured the Council of Ministers on December 26, January 17, January 28, February 6, February 26, February 28, and March 31.


Similarly, the data of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers Office shows that Prime Minister Dahal reorganized the Council of Ministers on April 16, May 4, May 7, May 23 and August 14.


Recently, Prime Minister Dahal appointed Janamat Party lawmaker Anita Devi Sah the Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration.


Dahal recalled Aman Lal Modi, who was a minister from the Maoist party, on Sunday and gave the responsibility to Sah of the Janamat Party in the said ministry.


The current government consists of Nepali Congress, CPN (Maoist Center), Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP), CPN (Unified Socialist) Party, Janamat Party and Nagarik Unmukti Party.
