Talking to journalists in brief at the Biratnagar Airport this morning, Minister Rai, also the Spokesperson of government, said that the foundation has been prepared to bring the relations with neighbouring countries to new height.
In course of the Nepal Prime Minister's India visit, the Indian Prime Minister in a press conference had welcomed the promulgation of new constitution in Nepal while Chinese government also hailed the constitution of Nepal and Nepal-China signed a historical trade transit treaty.
Noting that the development works are being hampered in absence of local body elections, he said, adding that the government would unveil the national budget and date for the local election on coming May 28.
The upcoming budget will be quite different, he said, informing that the budget will lay special emphasis on Terai and also the development and prosperity of hill and mountain.
It is truth that the task of reconstruction has taken slow pace due to lack of human resource and legal procedural hassles, the Minister added. He further shared that the government will construct shared residence for the quake survivors to not allow them to live under the open sky.
On query of journalists on Madhesi Morcha's agitation, he said a committee has been formed for the implementation of federalism and the high-level committee formed to resolve the disputed issues including boundaries of the provinces.
The Minister also asks the Nepali Congress to join the current government for the effective implementation of the new constitution in line with the 16 point gentleman agreement. RSS
