Govt to invest one billion to rebuild 200 health facilities

KATHMANDU, Sept 15: The government has allocated Rs one billion for the rebuilding of health institutes in the earthquake-affected districts.


The government has planned to reconstruct some 200 health institutes in the disaster-hit districts on its own cost.

The rebuilding of quake-damaged health facilities in Ramechhap, Okhaldhunga, Makwanpur and Sindhuli that remain as the worst affected districts is yet to kick off as no donor agencies reached there for so. Thus, the government decided to invest to rebuild damaged health institutes there.


The Ministry of Health has allocated around Rs one billion for the reconstruction of health facilities in these districts, as stated by Mahendra Prasad Shrestha, Chief of the Ministry's Policy, Planning and International Cooperation Division. RSS
