KATHMANDU, July 5: The government has stepped back from the decision to examine the vegetables and fruits that are imported from India.

Following the concerns from the Indian authority, the government decided to withdraw the decision to quarantine test and examine pesticide residue to be done at the customs point while importing fruits and vegetables. The cabinet meeting of Thursday took the decision citing the lack of a well-equipped modern lab, according to a source.
