KATHMANDU, July 7: Nepali Congress Central Committee Member Gagan Thapa has strongly objected to the government's decision to put on hold its decision to carry out pesticide testing for vegetables and fruits imported from India.
Speaking at the zero hour of the House of Representative on Sunday, Thapa claimed that the government backtracked on its decision under the pressure from India.

"Is not it a big irony that the nationalist government succumbed to pressure from India? How did this government backtrack on its decision while turning blind eye on public health?" he questioned.
Thapa said that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's nationalist posture has been fully exposed following this decision.
